In the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, every small change counts. However, for many people, morning coffee is out of the question, even though this drink can harm your health. Adding some spices is a way to increase its benefits and help you get rid of belly fat.
Nutritionist Alana Kate shares some of the best spices to add to your cup of coffee. The expert recommends cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, and cardamom. Spices you should put in your coffee “Cinnamon is one energy source I always have on hand. In addition to its calming effect, warm cinnamon has been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels after meals and exercise,” explains Derrick.

Cinnamon can lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes, as well as lower high cholesterol and triglycerides.
The specialist emphasizes that stable energy levels throughout the day are very important. This can help maintain weight.
“Ginger is another staple for me, especially after intense workouts. This root has long been used as a digestive aid to reduce bloating, gas, and nausea – major benefits when you’re pushing your body’s limits,” shares the trainer.
Additionally, this spice has anti-inflammatory properties that “provide additional benefits for soothing gut irritation.” You can also add ginger tea to your diet if you like.
Turmeric is a delicious spice that can also do wonders for your body. The nutritionist says that it is an anti-inflammatory spice thanks to its curcumin content. “Adding this spice first can help counteract excess inflammation that can lead to weight gain, especially in the abdominal area,” notes the expert.
Also, turmeric goes well with the rich flavor of coffee.
Black pepper – this spice contains piperine, an active compound that has anti-inflammatory properties and improves the absorption of other beneficial substances, in particular curcumin, and is therefore worth combining.
“It can stimulate digestion and improve nutrient absorption,” adds Dr. Linda Hassoba.
